Worldline Greece is one of the largest acquiring services companies in the Greek market which was established as part of the new strategic partnership between Eurobank and Worldline.

The Opportunity

You will be part of a talented team composed of 100+ lawyers worldwide and 15+ lawyers in the region. Reporting to the Legal Counsel of Greece and dealing with legal matters that arise in Greece for Worldline.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• You give accurate and timely counsel to executives on a variety of legal topics (commercial contracts, partnerships, procurement contracts, etc.).
• You will follow up and contribute on corporate matters of Worldline in Greece
• You implement and supervise internal governance policies and ensure compliance with laws and guidelines related to business activities.
• Your research and evaluate different risk factors in your contract, especially regarding business decisions and operations.
• You apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
• You communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.), creating relations of trust.
• You draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
• You will provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• You will handle litigation

• You keep up with current changes in all relevant areas of law and chipping in to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company's legal function.

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

• You have a degree in law.
• You have an active license to practice law in Greece
• You possess sophisticated knowledge and understanding of Corporate and Commercial law and procedures.
• You have profound experience (5 years) as a Legal Counsel in a business environment and the ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
• You have an excellent command of the Greek and English language (proficiency degree) with strong written and verbal skills
• You show proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• You have good organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills
• You have outstanding communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• You have sound judgment and the ability to analyze situations and information
• You demonstrate strong research skills when preparing for a case or providing advice

Skills we’d like

• You additionally acquired a degree in corporate law or a similar field.
• You have a background in the payment industry and you are familiar with payment schemes.
• You prove solid knowledge of data protection law and commercial law.
