Worldline is looking for a Junior Legal Specialist to join the Group Legal and Contract Management Department Team.

This position will be full-time, based in  Milano and will report to the Head of Legal Italy.

The ideal candidate shall have 2 years' work experience within the legal department of financial institution, fintech and/or or large international IT companies or Law Firms, should be self-motivated, independent and well-organised with excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in legal, compliance and corporate governance matters (Board of Directors Meetings and General Meetings) relating to the Italian entities within Worldline Group;
  • ensure compliance with all applicable laws including data privacy and regulations (with particular focus on banking and payments laws and regulations);
  • negotiate and manage commercial legal work (contracts for clients, suppliers, partners, website terms and conditions, etc.);
  • support the business on the negotiations of legal aspects of M&A processes, strategic partnership, key commercial agreements and other corporate and business development initiatives;
  • act as legal business partner to various departments; build strong relationships across the organisation; liaise with outside counsel;
  • manage regulatory complaints processes (reclami) and enquiries from authorities affecting the Italian entities;
  • manage and foresee business risks and opportunities by regularly reviewing changes in the regulatory/legal environment;
  • support the rest of the Worldline’s Group Legal team, and senior management;
  • Provide proactive, timely and business-focused legal advice on payments services regulation;
  • Providing general legal assistance and performing legal tasks including legal research and analysis of key issues
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with preponderant IT component and have strong knowledge of technology outsourcing contracts

Job Requirements:

  • Law Batchelor’s degree
  • 2 years work experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably in the financial services, payments services and IT sector;
  • Organized, with a keen attention for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in drafting legal documents in clear and plain English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: fluent English is a must, and other European languages may be useful
