The Opportunity

The role is within the virtual team of business/solution architects, which needs to expand its ability to respond to an increasing workload of bid responses and new software implementations.

It is expected that the successful candidate would initially be involved in solution development with design input but progress towards solution architect as a primary role with occasional design and development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• You perform middleware software solution design and development supporting all project phases including requirements and testing.
• You assist with cloud architecture development, working with solution architects and business business analysts.
• You assist with candidate solution design for bids, proposals, investments and contracts.
• You develop solutions within waterfall projects or in time limited agile developements
• You act as lead developer during the build of projects, providing the overall leadership to ensure that solutions meet the customer requirements and technical strategy.

• You can work well within a team and are self motivated
• You've got substantial knowledge of IBM WebSphere application server development - JAKARTA EE/ J2EE
• Ability to work with colegues and guide and advise on other areas of the development and testing
• Excellent skills in Java development across all common frameworks
• Motivation and passion for sucsessfull software build and delivery for a highly varied set of opertunities
• You  have experience of developing solutions with relational database e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• You have experience of the following technologies:  Enterprise messaging technologies/ESBs (IBM WebSphere MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS, AMQP, Kafka, Tibco EMS)JavaScript and HTML5, deployment automation technologies
