About the team
We have a team of 8 DevOps Enablers whose focus is to accompany a big R&D department (>150) working in a DevOps fashion and powered by a private cloud infrastructure. The team is responsible to be the glue between the many development teams and the infrastructure. They provide expertise, simplification and automation of the most repetitive concerns and their objective is to provide as much autonomy as possible to the DevOps teams.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include
- You interact with our infrastructure provider and ensure all decommissions and major changes are covered on time by the DevOps Enablers team
- You review the deliverables of the team to ensure they match acceptance criteria
- You build a roadmap of improvements based on feedback from the DevOps teams and priorities of the management
- You run the backlog refinements and ensure all is defined/described in sufficient details
- Lead the DevOps Enablers team and strike the right balance between operational and project deliveries
- You collaborate with the Architecture team to ensure all deliverables are done within the technical strategy of the department.

Through collaboration with other departments in the platform, you will build our reputation as a trusted partner and thought leader in the online payment space.
- You bring your expertise in product definition and ensure we meet the demands of our stakeholders
- You tackle new demands and ensure they are prioritized according to the department strategy
- You proactively ensure there is enough detailed work items for the team to work on
- With your team, you provide the best tools possible to fulfil the needs of the DevOps teams
- Organize feedback collection about the team deliveries to ensure the team is delivering the right thing
Skills we can't do without:
As our new Product Owner, you’re curious and customer focused. You enjoy technology and complex technical products such as CI/CD pipelines and APIs. Next, you're autonomous and a fast learner which will allow you to quickly understand the context we work on and its needs. Finally, your communication skills will need to be sharp with both technical and non-technical personnel on all levels of the organigram.
- You can ensure the team are always working on the most important topics according to priorities
- You've got substantial knowledge in DevOps, Agile and large development environments
- Ability to understand complex technological landscapes
- Motivation and passion for complex technical products
- Strong communication skills in English
- You master collaboration teams such as JIRA and Confluence (or similar)
- 2-5 years working in technical projects as product owner or project manager
Skills we'd like:
It would be great if you have the following skills, too:
- Bachelor or Master with relevant experience in technology industry
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban backlog creation & management
- Ability to incept/build business cases and prioritize on added value
- A previous role as Developer is a plus
- A previous experience as a Product Owner would be a strong success factor
