SIEM/SOC Specialist (F/M)

SIEM specialist leading the implementation of a central SIEM/SOC service for 10+ datacentres in an international context for a payment company

Scope and main objectives:  

  • You belong to the team in charge of setting up the new SIEM for the group (whole company) enabling a SOC (external supplier)
  • You bring your expertise in SIEM/SOC services, and your experience of building up such solutions to ensure proper set-up and best of the art implementation of the central SIEM

First mission (Blue Armor – one SOC for Worldline)

  • Catch-up on existing set-up and architecture, as the project started in 2019 with start of operation (SOC) in December 2020
  • Take the technical lead on the new datacentres/countries to be connected to the central SIEM
  • Manage end to end consistency of the implementation, from syslog to correlation rules, through collectors, concentrators, proxies, and routers
  • Identify pragmatical solution together with local team in charge of servers and network
  • Recommend and implement ways to optimise the service (false positive, true negative) thanks to your accurate knowledge of the end to end technical parts of the solution

  • IT background with experience either in linux system administration, or network
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SIEM technical management
  • Easy communication with technical people (in English)
  • Good comprehension of security stakes for an international payment company
  • Motivated by transformation projects in international environment

  • Pragmatic, still organized and structured
  • Result oriented with a hands-on mindset
  • Proactive and problem solving attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Facilitator in multi-cultural discussion

Desirable skills

  • ITIL v3
  • Certification in security
  • Polyglot (German, French and/or Dutch)
  • Good verbal communication from the floor level to senior management (C-level)


  • preferably Central Europe time zone
