Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  •  Design, develop, and modify modules in accordance with functional and system requirements
  •  Work closely with the Development Manager, Business Analysts, and the Product Owner to define the functional and system requirements
  •  Contribute, as a member of the Architecture Team, to ensuring the architectural integrity of the product/solution
  •  Work closely with the QA, Product Management, and the Development Manager to ensure product/solution quality
  •  Implement code review and unit test processes
  •  Participate in testing process through unit testing and bug fixes
  •  Participate in daily scrum meetings
  •  Participate in release and sprint planning
  •  Mentor and assist junior developers with troubleshooting complex issues
  •  Complete the technical documentation as per the SDLC requirements

Skills we can’t do without:

  • 2-4  yrs. of experience into backend development with Java 
  • You have a master’s degree in computer science, or Engineering Graduate or a related field.
  • Must be well versed with Java programming Language, Client side programming, Server side programming (Servlets, Session management, Browser dependencies, etc), JEE technologies , associated web technologies.
  • Very good understanding of JEE application architecture
  • Established coding experience in JEE and application server software development (EJB, JMS, JDBC, JTA, Web Services)

Skills we’d like:

  • Well versed with the application servers and web servers of choice (JBoss, Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, Glassfish). Experience with JBoss Application Server is an asset
  • Experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Eclipse, NetBeans IDE .
  • Knowledge of Client-side technologies such as JSP, HTML, CSS, Java Script, jQuery, equivalent technologies
  • Experience with Java web presentation tier software development (Servlet, JSP, Wicket)
  • Good understanding of Design patters and use of Design Patterns.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS, MSSQL preferred knowledge of NoSql will be advantage.
  • Good hands-on REST APIs
  • Good understanding of Scrum methodology and Agile practices and values
  • Experience with common opensource mainstream libraries
  • Understanding of Hibernate or other ORM framework.
  • Experience with web services and REST
  • Familiarity with Mobile Application Development platforms will be a plus.
  • Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
  • Familiarity with Clean Code principles
