Mission :

Within Operation Quality department, in the Software Quality Engineer (in the Betatest entity) is in charge, with his team, of install, support and maintain a field of around 600 POS (correspoding approximatively to 450 merchants in around Valence).

The key responsibilities are to evaluate the behavior of each Product (Pos or Service) developped by the R&D teams. Each merchant must be carefully considered to offer the correct Product (for his use case). The product must be installed as soon as maturity and stability allow (before Regions ramp-up).

The beta team should collect all feedback, logs and data allowing R&D teams to troubleshoot issues encountered in the field.

The team must allow the merchant to return to its nominal operating state promptly.

Role & Objectives :

  • Be the voice of the “first” customer within the Software Quality team
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute Solutions developed by R&D teams
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute reporting and KPI to management
  • Realize a study to define the correct Product (PoS or Serivce) to provide to each Merchant
  • Be aware of each Product development (PoS, Service, applications, payment applications developed by Regions…) to check if an introduction in the Beta field is possible
  • Define the conditions of the introduction of a new Product (according to customers requirements, product certifications, local regulations…)
  • Use the IT tools developed by R&D
  • Prepare the installation on merchant stores (identify the Product, create the Software package to upload in the PoS, realize the administrative process (banks, maintainers, partners), set-up the PoS in store…)
  • Support all merchants present in the field (7 days a week, intervetions on merchant stire, on-call support…)
  • Identify the issue (use case, environment, communication means…)
  • Keep all informations and logs to facilitate the R&D investigations
  • Create a “Ticket” on the specific tool (Jira) to explain the issue and help the R&D teams to analyse
  • Try to reproduce if it’s necessary (in merchant store, or/and in the lab)
  • Provide a “live” overview of the field (SDK installed, number of products, applications used, years of operation, number of updates, numbers of issues encountered by SDK…)
  • Follow the fix realized by R&D teams (Hardware or Softwares) over time
  • Provide inputs and participate to the Software Quality weekly meeting
  • Participate to the setup of a Software Quality Network
