We are looking for a Customer service advisor who will work in partnership with the Credit Risk Team, Contact Centre, and Client providing a centralized advisory and delivery service.
The Credit Team plays a key role in ensuring the initial and ongoing creditworthiness of our customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and trustworthy individual to join our Wolverhampton-based team where you will provide customer service advice along with the required credit risk assessment activities to our customers to support their use of our products and services.
Communicating with customers accurately and efficiently both verbally and in written form in German and English.
Contact customers to chase debt via calls, texts and emails
Work to individual and team targets
Liaise with Client Managers
Reduce Write Off balances
Ensure Liquidator paperwork and general admin are dealt with in a timely manner
Reduce Aged Debt
Be reactive and proactive with customers, ensuring payment is received within the agreed terms
Report debt and advise of any risk
Investigate customer complaints
Investigate potential fraud
Ensure Alerts and Notifications are updated daily
Posting and requesting manual Direct Debit failures
Placing accounts on hold
Liaising with Companies/Sole Traders experiencing cashflow issues, creating payment plan agreements.
Liaising with third party solicitors
Working within budgets
Liaising with German Companies, resolving any queries which would cause debt issues
Signs of success
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a rich combination of experience, proven skills and personal attributes and ideally be based in the Wolverhampton area.
Skills we can’t do without:
Previous experience within a Credit Control
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience in dealing with a wide variety of customers in a fast paced environment
Be able to work with figures and have an understanding of reconciliations
Be able to be professional and courteous at all times
Be able to work as an individual and within a team
Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to details
Willing to undertake BPSS and Disclosure Scotland security checks
Skills we’d like:
Be a member of CICM
Have written & verbal understanding of German
